Great question. Knowing your customer needs, providing good customer service and quality products/service help increase your chances. Large corporations have the advantage of greater resources. Since you are smaller, you can often respond more quickly to customer requests. You can be more flexible and adjust more quickly.

My business is feeling the effects of the recession. Before the recession everyone would celebrate everything with their favorite dish. Now people are staying home and business is becoming really bad. We even have to succumb to some tricks to save money. We don't like to do these tricks but we have to do it in order to survive. Do you have any suggestions that will help me, my business, and customers?
Thank you. |

When times are tight, you may have to cut some costs. Take a look at every thing you spend for a specific period of time, say 1 week or 1 month. Write down everything you spend. You may be surprised how much you spend on things you haven’t expected. Then prioritize what you have to keep and what you can do without.
