My business is starting to feel the effects of the current recession. My employees are less productive due to the stress of being foreclosed or close to it and my trucks are more expensive due to the gas. How can I overcome this?

Not a quick answer to this one. Know that you are not alone as many businesses and employees are starting to feel the crunch.
Motivating employees facing personal challenges can be very difficult. What have you tried so far? With the increased fuel costs, have you had to cut back in other areas? |

What type of incentives do you have in mind for the employees of dumbeyes. I don't have any creative ideas for this situation. I don't want direct advice maybe just a couple of suggestions.

Now the trucks are so expensive to all business. It cannot overcome suddenly.I think the solution is to encourage the employees by giving more incentives. But it is also expensive.

What type of business are you in - Goods / Service / trucking? I don't think offering incentives to employees will help your bottom line. The fundamental issue here is why are you losing money - is it related to lack of performance by employee or the goods not turning over fast enough. Have to figure ways on how to make money / bring money to the business vs. trying avoid the question.
